The Foraged Elk was born from a hunger for something real — a return to roots, where food, faith, and the land come together. Here, we honor both the hunt and the harvest. Some days that means fresh game and eggs from our own hens; other days it’s store-bought ingredients turned into something soulful and satisfying. What matters isn’t where it came from, but the care we give it — and the gratitude we hold for what God has provided.
The Foraged Elk is not about perfection — but about connection. Slowing down, cooking with intention, and learning that time, patience, and hard work are what make food taste like home.
This home is for those who crave purpose over convenience, for families and individuals who want to cook instead of order. Whether you live deep in the woods or in the middle of a city, you’re welcome at this table. Because The Foraged Elk isn’t just about food. It’s about finding your way back to what truly matters — love, honor, and purpose.
About Me
Frozen dinners and cold faith. The idea of making my own bread and collecting my own eggs was nonexistent. Nor did I know the extent of how much God loved me, but somewhere along the way, he got a hold of me — and everything changed. Now I’m learning to live slow. To cook outside of a microwave. To build a life that feels like peace instead of survival.
I’m not perfect at it, but every day I’m practicing being more present — in the kitchen, in my faith, and in the quiet parts of my story. I’m not here to preach or pretend. I’m here to show it is possible to grow — from nothing fancy, just grace and grit. I call it a Godful life. Soft on the surface, but built from a kind of strength that doesn’t need to announce itself.
So if you’re here, welcome. You don’t have to have it all together. You just have to start somewhere — and believe that where you came from isn’t where you have to stay.
The Foraged Elk is not just a channel, but a home— for the herd.
