About the Herd

The Foraged Elk is not about perfection — but about connection. Slowing down, cooking with intention, and learning that time, patience, and hard work are what make food taste like home.

About Me

Frozen dinners and cold faith. The idea of making my own bread and collecting my own eggs was nonexistent. Nor did I know the extent of how much God loved me, but somewhere along the way, he got a hold of me — and everything changed. Now I’m learning to live slow. To cook outside of a microwave. To build a life that feels like peace instead of survival.

So if you’re here, welcome.
You don’t have to have it all together. You just have to start somewhere — and believe that where you came from isn’t where you have to stay.
